The South West football league part of the Mississauga Football League
Our league is one of a number of leagues in Ontario whose purpose is the development of young male and female athletes, within the sport of tackle football. The purpose of our league is to teach the youth of Mississauga the game of Canadian Tackle football in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. While all sport is about competition and the drive for a winning, perhaps championship season, this goal is secondary to teaching sound fundamentals and a love of, arguably the truest team sport in existence. In our league no player is a designated bench warmer. All players see action unless there is a safety concern.
Our registration fee is $275.00 for the season. This provides participants with all equipment except shoes. This price also includes a team and individual photo and an end of year banquet. Equipment is returned at the end of the season except for team jerseys and socks which the player gets to keep.
As part of the development process we offer an introduction to football by way of both a summer and fall non contact flag football program at the youngest (tyke) level. The registration fee for this program is $150.00
